(Prerequisite: Writing I or submit a writing sample) – During the first semester, students will develop good essay writing skills with essays written and edited throughout the semester. Students will learn to compose descriptive, narrative, informative, and persuasive essays. Throughout the second semester, students will write literary papers based on their evaluation of various forms of literature, including poetry and short stories. Writing I is highly recommended before taking this course.
