Using the Simplify Writing curriculum students will become skilled and confident writers.  The curriculum focuses on making writing instruction manageable, is evidence-based, and explicity modeled, offering tools for success each step of the way.  In 4-5 Writing II, students will demonstrate command of their writing skills as they apply the writing process across various domains to include but not limited to:  narratives, literary analysis, explanatory and informational texts, and poetry.  Grammar and handwriting are naturally embedded in the writing process and are, therefore, another component of this course.  

Handwriting curriculum is Handwriting without Tears which will provide practice in cursive letter formation.
