Writing I is designed to develop foundational writing skills through practice in descriptive, informative, argumentative and narrative writing.  Students will build vocabulary, strengthen grammar, and improve sentence structure through focused lessons and regular writing exercises.  Emphasis will be placed on the writing process- including brainstorming, drafting, revising, and editing- to help student become confident, clear, and effective communicators.   This course also reinforces proper mechanics and encourages creativity while building essential skills for academic writing.
