Students will learn about the development of the United States.  Students will discover the land and the early people living here before and after the first explorers arrive. Students will learn how economic systems, trade and migration lead us to the Thirteen Colonies. Students will also interact with timelines, maps, and the government’s role in the economy.  The key ideals outlined in the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution will be explored. Students will understand the rights, responsibilities, justice, and the common good and relate these concepts to events of modern day.
