Simple story elements such as plot, character, and setting will be explored. Students will gain mastery in grade-level phonics through the study of phonics applications and leveled readers. Grammar elements such as synonyms and antonyms, compound words, and nouns and verbs will be explored. Students in this course will also learn to recognize and spell common sight words.
