Description
During the first semester, students will concentrate on creative writing, including poetry, narrative, descriptive, and expository writing. The second semester will emphasize a literature-based curriculum covering various genres including religious fiction, historical fiction, adventure, and science fiction through the reading of various novels and short stories. (Grammar, vocabulary, and spelling are not the primary focus in this course but will be practiced.)

Supplies: Separate composition book for journal entries only (no spiral notebooks), pencils, highlighters, pens, ½ inch 3-ring binder, and file folder
