The Simplify Writing curriculum focuses on making writing instruction manageable, is evidence-based, and explicitly modeled, offering tools for success each step of the way.  In third grade, students will demonstrate growth in their production and distribution of writing as they apply the writing process across various domains to include but not limited to: personal, creative, and nonfiction narratives, opinion and explanatory pieces, informational texts, and poetry.  Grammar and handwriting are naturally embedded in the writing process and are, therefore, another component of this course.
