Description

This class is for 8th and 9th grade students who are ready to develop and expand their own artistic style through the exploration of different art processes and mediums. Units of study will include: painting, drawing, clay building, collage, and Art History. The focus will be on quality not quantity of work. Students will be required to keep a sketchbook/journal, and to research and deliver a presentation on an Artist of their choice approved by the teacher. Students will receive a high school fine arts credit for this class. Students must have completed 6-8 Art I, II or equivalent.
Supplies: 100-page spiral bound, sketchbook, 1 roll of 1.41 inch 3M Brand Blue Painter’s Tape
