Description
This class will build on the elements of art: line, shape color, value, and texture. Students will create projects that increase their awareness of art throughout their world. Projects will focus on improving motor skills and vocabulary. Students will continue to increase familiarity with paint, graphite, crayon, colored pencil, clay, glazing, paper sculpture, and Art History. All lessons are integrated with other areas of learning and will encourage students to be independent learners and problem solvers. All students will have projects included in the Night of the Arts. Projects vary for Art I and Art II each school year.
Supplies: glue sticks, bottle of Elmer’s liquid glue, pack of black sharpies, 1 roll of 1.41 inch Lime Green Scotch Rough Surface Extra Strength Painters Tape, and a roll of or package of paper towels. (These supplies will go into the Art Room’s shared supplies.)
