Description
(Prerequisite: Biology, Earth Science and have taken or currently taken Algebra II) – This physical science course gives high school students a foundation in Chemistry. Students will learn about the chemical make-up of their world through laboratory experiments, hands-on instruction, and problem-solving skills. This course is more in depth than the standard course and will include class tests and in class exercises. This course will benefit students who are interested in pursuing a career in the math/science field, as it is a more extensive coverage of the Chemistry curriculum. All students will be required to develop and conduct a scientific project for the Science Fair.
Supplies: Scientific Calculator, a binder or folder, loose-leaf paper, composition book, colored pencils, scissors, glue stick
