Description
Students will refine vocabulary through knowledge of prefixes, suffixes, context clues, and stems. Students will explore fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and reference texts to determine plot development, author’s word choice, tone, and figurative language. The learners will engage with the text by making predictions, formulating questions, and supporting answers from the text. (Any Student who takes this course must be an independent reader).
